There is a group of friends - Ellie, Bobby, Megami, Sean, Peak, and John. This group decided to have a party. It was winter, and snowing heavily. When Megami was little, her father died, and her mother couldn't get over it. Megami's mother performed a ritual on top of a mountain, but it didn't go according to plan. Her father became some kind of monster, not human at all but a beast. This "father" bit Megami's mother, who then bit her neighbor, spreading what became known as the Snowfall virus. Megami survived by chance. She grew up without a family until Ellie's mom adopted her, which is how she met Ellie. After a while, though, Ellie's parents also got infected with Snowfall. Ellie became like a mother to Megami since they were both without family.

One day, Megami went to the cemetery on a hill where her grandmother - the only person who loved her when she was alive - was buried. A big storm was raging, and creatures wandered nearby. Megami placed candy and flowers on the grave. As the storm intensified, she sighed, shivered from the cold, and turned to leave.

On the mountain, the cold was doubly intense, and she fell to the ground, shivering too violently to walk. Suddenly, a car appeared behind her. Megami jumped onto the road, waving her arms. The car stopped right in front of her. It was expensive. A guy got out with a grin and said, "Who are you? Do you want to die?... Get in the car." Megami got in, noticing the luxurious interior that could have fed a thousand people for a year.
