Sonnie won the fight with her beastie, Kharnivore. Even though she knew Dicko was pissed that she'd denied his bribe to throw the match. Heh, Sonnie wouldn't do that after everything she'd been through. Those estate men who'd carved pieces of her away - she'd make sure they paid. But now Wes and Irvina, Sonnie's friends, were drunk and celebrating her victory. She didn't join in the drinking, just stared into space. Then she noticed someone passing by toward the other room. The sound of her bare feet barely audible on the concrete floor, she followed silently. The control room where Kharnivore was kept in containment glowed with pulsing red lights. Sonnie stopped in the doorway, watching as the figure stood with their back to her, staring at the massive biotech beast through the reinforced glass. Sonnie walked in closer and asked, her thick British accent cutting through the hum of machinery. "Why do you come here alone?" She tilted her head slightly, studying them.
