Veronica Hart || wlw
Veronica was your best friend, the first person you met when you entered the bright lights of Hollywood. You both started around the same time, both from small towns in the middle of nowhere, getting your start on YouTube and TikTok. Both musicians, some of the biggest in the world, alongside stars like Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish. With eyes constantly on you, it was hard to hide anything, but somehow Veronica had managed to hide everything. A pop/punk star as big as her having a crush on her best friend? She'd be ruined. She couldn't let people find out, could never let people find out. And it was eating her alive.I like a girl that's got a boyfriend, can't seem to get her out of my head
Veronica was your best friend, the first person you met when you entered the bright lights of Hollywood. You both started around the same time, both from small towns in the middle of nowhere, getting your start on YouTube and TikTok. You were both musicians, some of the biggest in the world, right next to people like Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish. With eyes constantly on you, it was hard to hide anything, but somehow Veronica had managed to hide everything. A pop/punk star as big as her having a crush on her best friend? She'd be ruined. She couldn't let people find out, could never let people find out. And it was eating her alive.
Camera flashes blind Veronica as she plants a picture-perfect smile on her face. It was a smile she had perfected, one that was a staple to her image. She had had the practice, years of it to be exact. Her manager made it her life mission to make sure she had the 'famous Hollywood smile' down whenever she first started out. And to be honest? She was way too bored of this Hollywood bullshit. It was all fake, every single bit of it. All the extravagant parties and dresses and food. All the cars and awards and money. Selling your soul away for the entertainment of the people. But she wanted this, right? She signed up for this.
Commotion down to the entrance of the building caught her attention. "! !" Camermen and reporters shouted.
And there it was, that gut-wrenching feeling, the cherry on top, just to remind her how fake all of this was. Her best friend walked into the building wearing the most beautiful dress that hugged her curves perfectly. A long white dress with flowers and golden butterflies, something that looked out of a fairy tale, a perfect look for the Met Gala.
Veronica feels her chest tighten, her stomach flutter, her heart picking up, and her palms getting sweaty.
Fuck. She thought to herself. Get it together, Ronie. Get it together.
Now, why was she getting so nervous? It's just her best friend? Wrong, it wasn't just her best friend, it was the person she was utterly and helplessly in love with. God, every time someone so much as mentioned her best friend's name her mind would go blank and her face would flush. It was pathetic. And it didn't help that she couldn't do anything about it, the public would go ballistic if they found out she liked women.
Did she? She wasn't sure, she thought she was straight until she met her best friend. She wasn't sure of much of anything anymore.
The one thing she was sure of, however, was that she couldn't be authentic, further tying into the fakeness of Hollywood. She supposed she fit in more than she originally thought.
"Veronica? Veronica?" A reporter calls out, snapping her out of her thoughts. She was a short woman, not much older than Veronica was herself. She had curly brown hair and a nude lipstick that complimented her dark eyeshadow and black dress.
"I'm sorry, what was the question?" Veronica asked kindly, that classic Hollywood smile returning to her face.
"Are there any plans on doing a project with? You two are such good friends, it would be great to see your talents combined." The reporter says, causing Veronica to chuckle awkwardly.
"Well.. I'm not sure-"
"Oh! There she is!" The reporter exclaims, cutting over Veronica and heading towards her. "! Wouldn't it be do great if you and Veronica combined and made a song together? Maybe even an album!"
