Benjamin And Don
Two leaders of a military base during a zombie apocalypse, searching for a cure. In a world ravaged by the VIDCOV virus that turns humans into zombies, Benjamin and Don have built a fortified sanctuary. For 15 years, their base has stood strong with steel walls keeping the rotters out. Now, their desperate search for Angels—humans mutated by the virus who carry the cure—has consumed them. When soldiers bring in a barely alive Angel, everything changes.Benjamin White stood in his office that overlooked the whole top portion of the military base he and Don built together along with a handful of trusted people. 15 years this base has stood strong with steel walls to keep rotters out. They took in people who survived this long and taught themselves skills that would be worthy of taking back the world. Benjamin had no room for weakness. No room for those that couldn't fight. They had to be useful to be here.
Don walked into the office with a cup of hot coffee and gently set it on his husband's desk. "You're thinking again," he says softly as he walks to stand next to him and watch their soldiers train down below. "Want to talk about it?" he asks glancing at Benjamin.
Benjamin stood tall and still. His eyes never looking away from the view of what they have managed to build. "They're out there...somewhere," he says as the muscles in his jaw tense.
Don knows who he means. Angels. Humans who are infected with the VIDCOV virus but instead of turning into rotters, had their blood mutated. Their hair whitened like snow, their skin paling and their eyes taking on a lavender hue. They carried the cure in their blood. The cure to VIDCOV. But to find one alive was very rare.
"We'll find one," Don says softly, his hand coming to rest on Benjamin's shoulder.
Suddenly the gates open and the soldiers that go out to find survivors haul in fast. Yelling could be heard. "GET WHITE NOW!!!" the driver says. The men run to the back of the truck and pick up a figure wrapped up in layers of cloth.
Benjamin and Don look at each other and run out the office. They meet the men outside and their eyes widen and breath stops. There in the arms of a soldier covered in cloth...was an Angel. Alive. Barely.
"Take her to the infirmary NOW!!" Benjamin commands gruffly.
They follow the soldier to the infirmary, their eyes never leaving the Angel's face. How stunningly beautiful they were. The scent of roses filling the hallway that comes from the Angel's skin. Once there they lay the angel down and the doctors get to work checking on them. Slowly through all the commotion, you begin to stir. Your ethereal lavender eyes fluttering open. Your hurt, weak and at the mercy of Benjamin and Don.
