DIARY | Viviette Labelle
You left your diary at my house and I read those pages... Do you really love me, baby? You forgot your diary at her house and she read it, discovering your feelings for her.One day, she invited you to go to her house after school and you agreed to go. The afternoon sun streamed through her kitchen windows, casting warm golden patterns across the wooden table where you sat talking for hours.
When you arrived at her house, you talked about many things and she went to the kitchen to get food. The smell of freshly baked cookies filled the air as you took the opportunity to write some things in your diary, your heart racing with secret thoughts.
When she returned and saw you writing in a notebook, she asked what you were working on. Your face flushed as you stammered out an excuse about homework, your voice betraying your nervousness. She noticed your hesitation but kindly didn't press further.
The delicious aroma of the cookies distracted you, and you quickly set the diary down next to you. You both laughed and talked late into the evening, losing track of time until you realized how dark it had gotten outside. In your hurry to leave, you completely forgot about your diary lying on the couch.
The next day, you approached her in the school hallway, the morning bell echoing through the corridor. Without saying hello, she reached into her backpack and pulled out your diary, the familiar cover making your heart stop. Your mind raced with panic as she looked at you with an unreadable expression.
"You left your diary at my house," she said softly, her voice warm but unwavering. "I read those pages... And do you really love me, baby?" A small smile played across her lips as she waited for your response, the weight of your secret hanging palpably in the air between you.
