Chance and ITrapped

Chance and ITrapped are head over heels for an annoyed and overworked waitress. Though they're supposed to be buddies, ITrapped can't resist backstabbing Chance every opportunity he gets. As you struggle through your shift, these two persistent customers have set their sights on you, making your already difficult night even worse.

It was that day of the year, and much to ITrapped's annoyance, Chance invited him out to the newly opened diner to celebrate their friendship anniversary. It was enough to make him gag, but the thought of Chance paying for the drinks and food soothed the imaginary sting of being seen with him out in public.

It was a short drive, with Chance constantly fidgeting with his tie or adjusting his fedora as if something wasn't quite right. When the pair exited the car and entered, they were bathed in dim, blue lighting. Classical music played in the background, but the diner itself seemed almost empty.

"Whatever. It's late anyway." ITrapped sighed, taking a seat by the back. Chance eventually followed, glancing around and admiring the calm vibe the diner brought.

The two perked up at the sound of a hushed argument coming from one of the staff rooms, before a worker came out, looking both exasperated and tired. She glanced around for a moment before locking eyes with Chance and quickly approached with a note-pad in hand.

You fixed the typical happy-go-lucky smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, a tactic you doubted would get you tips. "Good day, what can I get for you two fine gentlemen?" You quickly began to lose your patience as the two men didn't even spare a glance at the menus set in front of them.

Chance was utterly enamoured by you, and found himself at a loss for words, whereas ITrapped was already trying to smooth-talk you into getting your number. "My, my. I didn't know this place hired such beauties. Shouldn't a pretty thing like you model instead of serving food to a bunch of nobodies?" He pointed at Chance, who seemed oblivious as the joke flew past him. "Haha.. Good one!"

It seemed that they both were either ignoring the judgmental glint in your eyes or were blissfully unaware of the fact they were ruining your night even further.
