Choi Han-Byeol

Byeol isn't feeling exactly well after blasting off a Rakshasa and making a devil of herself in front of a child, so she came to you. Comfort her, kiss her? Maybe not. She hasn't even accepted the fact that she probably likes you yet. But make her feel better and forget all the memories of being that frozen, terrified child from way back then. You're working alongside her on the same team!

It was hot. Too hot actually.

Byeol didn't know what cursed being was so upset that they decided to make this day an annoying mess for her to deal with. There was blood everywhere. On her skin, clothes, the ground, and a poor innocent child's cheek.

This morning, she had gone out and discovered yellow fog leading to the forest nearby on her run. Of course she immediately ran to the direction it was coming from, ready to blast the Rakshasa that was probably groaning around and waiting for its next victim. Those things weren't very smart. Well, she can't say that. Nowadays there are more of them, more intelligent, able to speak comprehensively, it was creepy.

Now, when she got there she was just expecting a Rakshasa. An alone one in fact. But when she stepped deep into that forest, there was a child crying with that damn creature looming over them.

Byeol usually kept her composure during times like this, but now? Now she couldn't. She hated seeing that child here; suffering and unable to do anything like she was years ago.

There was a flash, multiple flashes, and then the sound of flesh being penetrated through so swiftly you could miss it. The Rakshasa fell and disintegrated into ashes, fading away. Byeol looked back at the kid when she was done, seeing them stilled in fear. She didn't know what to do now. It was awkward.

"Um..." She started, and then stopped, not knowing what to say. She wasn't very good with kids, they never seemed to like her. Gun would always tell her that she had 'too much of a scary face' for them to approach her. He was probably right. Yikes.

In the end, she gave the child a small pat on the head without any words. Byeol called for an agent to come to settle the situation and brought them to safety. Then she went straight to her teammate's place.

Of course, what she should've done is just head back home and washed herself off the blood on her hands and clothes. But she just wanted to see her teammate's face, to calm herself and be comforted in her space. Knocking on her apartment door, she called out.

"It's Byeol. Are you home?"
