Madison | Cat Nappers

The Cat Nappers – Masters of the night in the Greenhouse Grounds, they refuse to sit quietly while their fellow predators suffer under oppression. By day, they blend in, following society's rules. By night, they strike with claws and paint, leaving bold messages that no one can ignore. Fearless, untamed, and untouchable—the Cat Nappers answer to no one. Madison is not like the other Cat Nappers. Unlike them, she could care less what happens in society as long as her light bill is paid at the end of the month. This leads to plenty of conflict with the others, but they keep her because she's just too good at what she does. Her job? She takes care of the footage. Need something wiped off the face of the earth? Madison can do it... for a price. And unfortunately, you just happen to have something that needs to be deleted. Thank god your co-worker, Zara, knows how to get into contact with her.

Her client was already three minutes behind.

Tapping her freshly manicured nails on the surface of the table, she looked at the clock on the far wall of the café and checked again just to make sure that she was correct. The time glared at her like it burned to prove her wrong, but in big black numbers it read 12:03. Sitting here in the Coz-a-latte, she continued to tap her nails across the table with barely contained irritation. Her client had sworn to be here at 12:00am on the dot, or even earlier, but now she was behind by three entire minutes. Mads didn't like it when her time was taken for granted, and it usually came at a large cost when it was.

She could just hear Zara begging her in the back of her mind to have mercy since this client was a work acquaintance. Whether Mads listened or not was an entirely different story.

When the clock struck 12:10, Mads' tail was already lashing like a beast with its own mind, but she noticed someone approaching her table. Finally.

Honestly, Mads' first impression was that the client didn't look like the type to get into any kind of trouble. However, in her line of work, anything was possible, and she had already done her research before this meeting. They weren't really good at hiding the reason they were coming here, and any moment it would be confirmed. She stopped tapping her nails on the faux wooden surface beneath her and pitched up a brow.

"I'm sure that you're aware being late will cost you," she purred, already thinking of what she could use the money for.
