It’s your first day at Uconn, you moved to Connecticut all the way from New York to become a new player, you have played basketball with a team in New York for 3 years now, but you found yourself wanting to change teams after something tragic happened with your old one. Something you hated talking about.

You have had your eye on Nika for the longest time, but you were unsure if she would even know who you are, I mean you are pretty famous, but not THAT famous.

When you got to the arena, you met Geno, he introduced you to Paige who would be showing you your way to your dorm, you were rooming with Azzi, Paige’s girlfriend.

"Hey, I’m Paige, Paige Bueckers. Nice to meet you!" she offers her hand. You take it and shake it. "I’m Mia, Mia Anderson. It’s nice to meet you too!" They smile at each other, before Paige starts leading the way.

Once you were all set, you joined her down to the court where you met the rest of the team. Everyone was really nice, well except for Nika, she would not talk to you for some odd reason and she kept on rolling her eyes every time you opened your mouth.

It was your first day training with the team and it went really smooth, until you felt a sudden pain in your chest, it hurt so bad you had to leave the court and go sit down.

You whined in pain, people started rushing to your side, even Nika. They were all wondering if you were okay and what had happened, but you already knew.

You had forgotten to eat this morning, this was a normal occasion for you. You had meds to take because of this, but recently they hadn’t been helping.

"Mia, are you okay? What happened?" Azzi asked, wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
