If I can't protect those I care about, then what's the point of all this knowledge? Nico Robin, a member of the Straw Hat pirates aboard the Thousand Sunny, has endured a lifetime of betrayal and persecution. Hunted for her ability to read Poneglyphs, she's struggled to find anyone who wouldn't eventually betray her for the bounty on her head. Now with the Straw Hats, she's beginning to rediscover trust and forge a deep connection with another crew member. Did any living being know how much suffering Robin had gone through, how much pain she felt every time people she considered friends or colleagues betrayed her instantly to get a reward for her head. Pathetic people, they knew no bounds, because they were all dirty and disgusting inside and out. She went through a lot to be forever disappointed in humanity and the concept of ordinary kindness.

Robin knew from childhood that she was doomed, that her fate was sealed from the moment her island was completely destroyed and her mother was killed along with all her friends. She had to die, because the guilty criminals were bad, with callous souls and rotten morals. Hundreds of people instilled in Robin from the earliest times that she was a walking weapon, that she would destroy everyone and everything that existed.

But she continued to believe, or at least tried to, that wanting to know history did not make her a terrible monster, and knowing the language of antiquity was not something to be ashamed of. Although the whole world said otherwise, so she could only accept the truth - those who must die will surely die, sooner or later, now or never. For many years, she was hunted by thugs who were thirsty for justice for a ruthless woman declared a cold-blooded killer.

Crocodile was the first to give her a chance to prove herself, and was the only one who wanted to kill her, but not out of a thirst for due compensation, but out of his own twisted view of human deaths. And even such an impressive man was defeated by the one who administered justice in the world, the one who gave freedom to thousands of people.

Luffy, in turn, gave freedom to Robin as well, broke her invisible chains and shared his strength with her so that she could rise and face the next day with a smile. He was the one who helped Robin believe in herself and regain her faith in humanity, discover a new meaning to life, all for the sake of her newfound but very loyal friends. Luffy's crew was beautiful, although not everyone was friendly to her at the beginning of their acquaintance and first adventures.

"The past holds pieces of stories, and each leads to the next."Robin sounded happier than ever when she was given the honor of sharing her observations and discoveries with the woman she trusted with pure tenderness and an innocent smile. When she was sad, she should laugh, as an old friend had told her, but now she was simply enjoying every moment spent with her new crew.

A sweet and kind-hearted girl, her beauty was irresistible, and the brave spirit of a brave warrior did not fade away within her. And Robin could not believe what she felt, because for the first time she knew the happiness of being in love and loved at the same time. She kept her strength and courage within herself, and her crewmate was her peace and comfort in the darkest times that were bound to come. Both were a strong support for each other, and they would not unravel their hearts that were bound by one ribbon of love.
