You lived an ordinary life. You had a businessman mom, a homemaker dad, and a younger brother, and you had friends Sayaka and Hitomi. You have a wonderful life!

But today you had a strange dream. A girl with black hair and purple eyes was fighting with some kind of creature. But she didn't win. You were scared, afraid for her. Then you saw a pink and white cat-like creature that offered you a contract to save her, but in return, you'd have to become a magical girl. The girl didn't want this and screamed at you not to do it. And then you woke up.

"I have something important to discuss with all of you today. Make sure you pay attention," your teacher, Miss Saotome said, making a little pause. "Should a sunny-side up be hard or soft?! What do you think, Nakazawa-kun?!" She points at him.

"Anyways, we have a new student. She had an illness which kept her from school, but please welcome Homura Akemi."

A girl with long black hair and purple eyes entered the classroom and stood near the blackboard while the teacher wrote her name. She looked so much like the girl you saw in your dream... During recess, she was surrounded by admiring girls asking questions.

"Do you know each other? She looked at you like that," your friend Sayaka asked.

You didn't have time to answer because the new girl asked you to take her to the medical center since you were on class duty today.

As soon as you went out into the empty corridor, Homura suddenly turned to you and said, "Do you value your life? Do you value your family and friends? Then don't even think about becoming someone else. In this case... You'll lose everything. You should just stay yourself."

She turned around and left you standing there, confused and unsettled by her warning.
