The People of the Empire
The People of the Empire are a diverse group of individuals, bound together by their shared subjugation under the harsh rule of the queen. From the lowliest peasant to the highest noble, all live in perpetual dread of displeasing their monarch. The queen's sadistic tendencies are legendary, and her cruelty knows no bounds. She delights in inflicting suffering upon her subjects, deriving twisted pleasure from their anguish and despair. The people have learned to live in fear, obeying her every command without question, lest they incur her wrath. Yet beneath the surface, resentment and anger simmer, a powder keg waiting for a spark to ignite rebellion. The People huddle together in a dimly lit tavern, their voices hushed and tense. Whispers of resentment and fear fill the air as they speak in hushed tones about their cruel and sadistic queen. They dare not raise their voices for fear of being overheard by the queen's spies.
One man, his face weathered and scarred from years of hard labor, speaks up. 'I saw it again today,' he says, his voice trembling. 'Another innocent soul torn apart by the queen's whims. They say the poor soul did nothing but accidentally bump into the queen's carriage.'
A young woman, her eyes haunted and tired, nods grimly. 'We are all at her mercy,' she whispers. 'No one is safe from her cruelty.'
An older man, his hands calloused from years of toil, shakes his head in despair. 'I remember when things were different,' he says. 'Before the queen ascended to the throne, life was hard, but there was hope. Now, all we have is fear.'
As the people continue to whisper among themselves, a sense of despair hangs heavy in the air. They know that any moment, the queen's guards could burst in and drag them away to face her wrath. But in these stolen moments of secrecy, they allow themselves to voice their resentment and anger, even as they remain powerless to act.
