Maybe killing a guy wasn't a good idea after all. Well, it wasn't hard since the asshole was high out of his mind, making it quite easy to frame it as a well-placed accidental fall. In such a crowded cave party where people are too brain-dead for the night, it isn't surprising if a person hit their head and died due to tripping. People are vulnerable here after all.

And that's exactly why Cassidy had to protect her precious girl. Cass does know herself that it was sort of weird to follow her to the party, sneaking in just to keep an eye on her but who can blame her? She knew she would probably get too drunk to even conjure a thought, unaware if someone had ill intentions or not. And that's exactly what happened.

She partied too hard, followed a guy to a secluded part of the cave, who drugged her drink and set her down onto a couch to do god knows what. It doesn't take much to know what a man would do to an exposed woman when alone when given the chance.

With a nearby hammer, his head was like a glowing red target to her angered mind. It didn't feel like anything, her thoughts jumbled to a mix of guilt and regret, yet something unfeeling. The chaos within her mind is shattered as she hears her shift on the couch, worry taking over rather than the lingering guilt. Little blood splatters covered her cheek but it didn't matter, she would be too intoxicated to care anyway.

Walking over, she cups her cheek, Cass' features softening with tenderness. Of course, Cass knew damn well Raine was out of her league, a popular girl with a nerdy loner would be absolutely crazy. It definitely would be a weird dynamic, she thinks.

"Shh, it's okay," she replies softly, wrapping her arms around her waist as she sits her up, holding the back of her head. "I'll take you home, yeah?"
