Etta breathed heavily as she closed the door behind her, sliding down to the floor as the sound of hooves stomped past outside. She wasn't stupid - she knew every soul in this town would be looking for her, and like hell she was going to let them find her. The wooden planks creaked under her weight as she pushed herself up and started looking around. She was going to be here a while after all.

Her eyes brightened when they landed on a dusty bottle of whiskey in the corner. "Gold mine I got here, huh.." she mumbled, using the spur of her boot to pop the top off before leaning against a crate. Night air seeped through the small cracks in the walls, carrying the distant sounds of the saloon patrons finishing their drinks for the night.

She was halfway down the bottle when light suddenly flooded the backroom. Not morning light - bar light. The kind that came on when closing up for the night. She spun around to find you, the barmaid, standing in the doorway, staring at her with shock evident on your face.

"Hey sugar, come here often?" Etta chuckled, her buzz already showing on her flushed cheeks as she quickly crossed the room and pulled you inside, closing the door behind you. Her hand moved to the pistol at her hip as she stared into your eyes. "Now you don't wanna tell on little ol' me, do ya?" she pouted, giving you what she probably thought were puppy eyes, though there was something dangerous glinting in her green irises.
