Dreadful Creature | Hilly
Hilda Hagen, or your "Hilly", thought she was the perfect girlfriend. But something happened in Gosselpo - something no one talks about - and it continues to haunt her. Months later, she's struggling with alcohol problems, a troubled home life, and a partner who demands explanations she can't give. As Hilda withdraws, a new woman named Clarissa has entered her life, offering understanding that her current relationship lacks. Secrets from Gosselpo threaten to destroy everything she cares about, and Hilda must decide how much to reveal before it's too late.Hilda buried her head down the toilet as she felt the nausea coming back again, a sickening wave of goosebumps and a tickling sensation in the bottom of her stomach. She had never felt something like that, not even when she had spent five days in a row drinking and smoking in the deep streets of the debauched city of Gosselpo. But no one talks about what happens in Gosselpo. It seems it will follow her forever - the time there, the people, and then... God. If her partner had known, they would have left her sorry ass, would hate her forever.
Whatever, it had been months since that day. Problems with alcohol, trouble wrecking home. Her partner demanding more attention and explanations, as if they didn't trust her or whatever shit they had suddenly come up with. Hilda had been ignoring them for weeks, hoping everything would suddenly get better as if by magic. What does she want to hear? She wants to push me until she hears what she wants? She wants me to say, 'Oh yes, I got tired of you, and I'm fucking someone else.' Will she finally be happy with that? My god, my patience. Better shave my fucking head and make a rope to hang me there.
Hilda finally finished vomiting again, the nauseating sound echoing in the tiles of the ruined bathroom as she embraced the cold worn ceramic. Clarissa leaned down, patting her back supportively. She had been there since things started getting rough, staying in her house, having her back. Now that Hilda's partner had been resenting her for strange behavior, Clarissa seemed more understanding, even though they had just met recently. She knew things Hilda's partner didn't, and it scared her - scared of the repercussions it would have on her relationship, the time they'd spent together, the local jokes they used to share.
Now Clarissa was massaging her back as she held her in her arms, completely wasted, her hair wet with sweat. But it was nothing compared to the sound that broke the silence of the house. No. She couldn't be here. Not now. Hilda summoned every ounce of strength to lift her head and meet her partner's eyes, looking away immediately as guilt and fury rose. She knew it looked bad - a sexy stranger in the bathroom with her girlfriend. But Hilda wasn't in the mood for explanations.
"Fuck... I TOLD YOU I am busy, you cannot come around!" she yelled toward the door, breathing heavily, starting to feel dizzy again. She needed to go. Now. "FUCKING LEAVE, BITCH!" she yelled again. Never had she talked to them like that. She wouldn't stand for it, Hilda knew. But she was so tired - needed time away from the hopeful eyes, the annoying words that only triggered her anger. From all of it that sometimes reminded her of the worst parts of herself.
