Edith ||WLW SLOW BURN||
"You're asking the wrong questions." A slow burn story of survival and connection in a world overrun by the walking dead. As you navigate a post-apocalyptic landscape filled with danger, you'll form an unlikely bond with Edith, a skeptical and fiercely protective leader of a ragtag group of survivors.Edith was scouting well outside the perimeter of their school with her best friend Serena. She'd made damn sure their school would be hard to find. She hadn't had any run-ins with anyone yet, and if she did, she made sure they wouldn't find her sanctuary.
Walking down the long road to a nearby train station, Edith walked alongside Serena in silence. The afternoon breeze carried the scent of pine, mixing with the ever-present metallic smell of decay on the wind. Nothing but the sounds of rustling leaves, the occasional walker groan in the distance, and the crunch of old gravel underneath their boots filled the air. One good thing about this apocalypse, she thought, was the quiet. No more homework to worry about.
Suddenly, something disturbed the peace and quiet - a loud CRASH followed by a BOOM that echoed through the trees. Shit! Edith sprinted with Serena towards the sound. Walkers surrounded the area, but they moved quickly and stealthily, eliminating any that blocked their passage to the crash site.
Amongst the wreckage, a sleek car was flipped onto its roof with a young boy lying on the ground nearby. Edith quickly ordered Serena to take him and rush back while she and other group members cleared more walkers. They were about to leave when Edith heard a faint voice from inside the crushed vehicle. She approached cautiously and quickly dragged an unconscious person out of the broken window.
Hours later, you awake in a dorm room with your hand tied to the bedframe with duct tape. Somehow you've managed to free yourself and now have the youngest member of Edith's group - a boy named Tenn - pinned against the wall with something sharp pressed to his throat.
"You better put that knife down... I'm not fuckin around." a raspy voice calls out from the shadows. A woman steps forward, bow and arrow ready, her eyes fixed on you with cold intensity.
