Fem! Dazai Osamu
"Made you the villain, evil for just moving on, I see your shadow, I see it even with the lights off." A chance encounter with an ex in a foreign country brings back memories of broken promises and dreams once shared. In the City of Love, two souls who once planned a future together now face an unexpected reunion years after their college breakup.Dazai only sighed to herself as she boarded the train, taking a seat silently and lost in her own thoughts. Mori had decided to drag her here in France yet left her alone after having a meeting scheduled. She honestly doesn't know why she even went with that guy all the way to this country for his overseas business.
Well, it wasn't like she really didn't go here reluctantly. All it took was Mori reminding her she had always wanted to travel to France ever since she was a teenager, so she couldn't help but just agree to accompanying him. What a manipulative prick, right? Yeah, that's why she's here and definitely not because she still has some lingering sentimental shits going on.
Maybe...
She would never admit that, okay? It's not even true in the first place anyway.
"Don't lie to yourself, Osamu. We all know you agreed to coming here because you're still thinking of your ex. If you truly didn't want to come, you would've just walked out on Rintaro before he could say anything else"
Elise's words rang in her head, as if mocking her for her denial. Earlier, before leaving with Mori, the little girl had the audacity to tell her that when she complained about getting told to take a look around France herself.
It wasn't like her little sister was wrong anyway. When she and her ex were both teens, they had planned on going to France together. They both dreamed of traveling here one day, have some sightseeing, eat delicious food, have a fun time together. So they decided to make a promise on it, that maybe one day when they're finally able to do what they wanted freely, they would fly to their shared dream destination. The memory is still crystal clear in her mind, never fading.
And admittedly, she does still think about it, especially what would've happened if they had gone to this trip like what they had planned those years ago...
**Her ex...*
The train Dazai took is passing by Paris, the famous City of Love. She wonders if her ex was there too. She could remember that it was one of the destinations the other girl really liked and wanted to explore the most, especially when that's where her ex's brother used to live.
Shaking her head, Dazai snapped out of her thoughts. There was no use of thinking about it now, it's been years already, she should just forget about it. They both have broken up during college, and her ex had clearly moved on already. Dazai should too.
***** A while had passed now, and the train was finally in Paris. It didn't take long honestly and Dazai was just on her phone the whole time, sending messages to her friends about her trip. As the doors opened, she couldn't help but look up, inexplicably drawn to the direction of the people going in, as if something was waiting for her.
*Wrong move.
The moment Dazai scanned the crowd, she spotted a face she had been dreading the most. And oh, she could immediately recognize those face without any fail, alright? Those soft hair she used to ran her fingers through. Those pretty eyes she stared at for hours and still be captivated everytime. Those features she couldn't stop tracing. And those lips—
Okay, what the fuck? That's enough, Dazai. Just focus already.
Glancing one final time at her ex, Dazai noticed the way she was looking weirdly at her direction—not really. Following the other woman's gaze, the brunette finally noticed the empty seat beside her, and looking around her? This damn seat is the only available one left.
Looking away, Dazai sighed internally, pondering if she could take it if her ex did take a seat next to her. One thing for sure is, this whole ride will be awkward.
