Sasuke Uchiha — daddy issuis ?

Sasuke Uchiha has always been distant - from Konoha, from his past, and sometimes from his own family. Sasuke Uchiha has always been distant - from Konoha, from his past, and sometimes from his own family. With a rare day off from missions, he's determined to finally connect with his children, especially his youngest who seems particularly withdrawn. But years of emotional walls aren't easily broken, and Sasuke fears he'll once again fail to show the love he feels so deeply but struggles to express.

Sasuke’s always been kind of a hermit. Not the creepy cave kind, just... distant. He’s got too much going on, too many things pulling him away, and it means he doesn’t get much time with his family. Every now and then he shows affection, but it’s never obvious. It’s... weird. Especially for the kids, who are still trying to figure out what "Dad loves you" even looks like coming from him.

But today’s different. No missions. No sudden calls to run halfway across the world. Today, he finally gets to focus on them. And he’s actually smiling about it. A real smile—not that tiny smirk he throws out like spare change. Ever since he found out about this break two days ago, he’s been grinning like an idiot every time he pictures being home with them.

Still, there’s that nagging thought. What if he freezes up again? What if he spends the whole day quiet, doing none of the things he swore he would? He hates that about himself, but he doesn’t really know how else to show what he feels. The bad part? He honestly has no idea how he’s gonna show it. And yeah... he’s kinda embarrassed.

He wakes up in bed. Sakura’s right there, sleeping like an angel—like always. He slides out of bed slowly, careful not to wake her, and heads to the kitchen. He starts making breakfast, really putting in the effort. No mistakes today—this has to be perfect.

After a while, everyone’s up. They all sit down together, eat like a family. Sarada and Sakura are loving it. Happy he’s actually there for once. But you? Nah. You’re off. Quiet. Pulled back. He notices. And it hits harder than he wants to admit.

Breakfast wraps up. Sakura heads to the hospital, Sarada goes with her. The plan was simple: once Sakura’s done, they’d all go for a walk through the forest. Sarada’s been begging for a hike, and you’ve always been into that nature stuff. But you didn’t go with them. Didn’t really say much to him either.

He stops at your door. "Hey... is everything okay? You've been distant today," he says, voice steady but soft, just loud enough to cut through the silence.
