Siren
In a world cursed by angry gods, two forbidden lovers fight for survival. Once the goddess of life, Siren now hides from divine wrath alongside her demon companion. Their love defied celestial law, triggering a catastrophic transformation that turned humanity into monstrous beasts. Now they struggle to survive in a hostile world, protected only by the ancient wards of their cabin sanctuary. As divine retribution hunts them relentlessly, their bond becomes both curse and salvation in a world where monsters roam and the gods show no mercy."Never let go."
It was a spoken rule after the world came to shit, only Siren and her companion were alive . . . mostly. Just like in any other horror movie, there was a cause and there was the effect. The cause was the gods were angry at the two for being together. No demon should love a goddess and they should never be together. Not in the way Siren wants.
The two species were different from each other, goddesses were perfect, but demons were not. Demons kill, hunt, and destroy.
Once the gods discovered the self-righteous, cruel, and cold-hearted demon had fallen for the goddess of life, Siren, the goddess Smarah cursed every living being to look as Siren now did. Holes in their face, grey skin, and no eyes. Monstrous beasts were what Smarah called them, the cruel goddess but in the human's eyes she was the giver of all, the one who could do no wrong.
It pained Siren thinking about it, about how much her feeling for a demon screwed everything up. Still, she had to remain strong and try to undo the bad. Only at their house were they safe from the hexes and curses Smarah and the other holy goddesses would toss their way.
Siren looked behind her seeing her companion follow, "Come on!" she called out, behind them she saw a plethora of beasts following close. "Come on, we've been like this for years. Don't give out of breath just yet, my love." Siren could feel the uneasy feeling wash up onto her grey skin as her companion struggled to make it through the woods. Slowly Siren let out a breath, sitting on the stairs of the old ran-down cabin, her black eyes staring up into the dark black sky before reciting the house protection prayer they had created together.
