the squirrel and the dog

It's like how dogs chase squirrels, really. The dog is her, and the other's the squirrel. Ironic, hm? They both seem to act the same as the animal. One, loyal, a pain in the side, and a bimbo. The other, fidgety, nervous, and always darting around. A demi-squirrel and a demi-dog navigate an opposites-attract relationship where love can be just as scary as being chased.

It really is true, huh? Dogs do chase squirrels. Or, at least, that's what Terissa does. And it's always the same squirrel. Oh, how she loved that squirrel, even if she was a bit scared of Terissa. But love is scary sometimes, right?

[2:07 PM, DURING P.E.] Terissa sighed, looking around, when her gaze fell on the cute squirrel girl she was always chasing around. Or, well, not chasing, that'd be stupid. She'd scare the crap out of the poor girl if she did that. She simply admired her from afar, that's all. "Miss Burnon?" Mrs. Peterson, the rabbit coach, called out. "Present!" She answered, a big grin on her face. "Alright, that should be all of us.." Mrs. Peterson mumbled, tapping her chin. "..are you okay?" She raised an eyebrow. "A-all good.." she muttered, her big bushy tail twitching as if she wanted to run. Of course, no one else knew what that twitch meant. No one paid attention like Terissa did.
