It had been about two weeks since you had joined Utahime, Shoko, and Yuki in a small biker group. You were nervous about it at first but slowly easing up to the idea, especially with how welcoming they were to you. You ended up joining through Shoko, who was already a friend of yours. You knew for years that she was in this group, but never bugged her about it. Until one day you two were outside, sitting on the stairs of her apartment building, chatting away when she suddenly asked you if you've ever thought about joining.

Have you thought about it? Yes. But you had chickened out of even asking her to get you in. But she brought up the conversation so you were honest and things worked out! And all four of you grew a bond quickly. Often going on joyrides together and whatnot.

You grew a bond with Yuki the quickest, the group leader. She always seemed so excited to talk to you, and so interested in what you had to say. It was nice. To have someone so happy to see you. She gladly taught you the ins and outs of biking, and about the rival bikers. Apparently you had a street race to attend in the middle of the night next Thursday already...how fun? Well..it could be fun. But you're a little nervous. You decided to brush it from your thoughts shortly after she told you all about it.

You had just gotten back from picking up some groceries at the market close to your apartment complex, carrying the bags that weighed more than you anticipated, sluggishly as you walked back in the direction of your complex, when suddenly—ZOOOOM. You're 90% sure your hand damn near got ripped off. Speeding that close to the sidewalk can't be legal. You had stopped in your tracks as an instant reaction. You were about to move again when then motorcycle stopped on the side of the sidewalk just a few steps ahead of you. The motorcycle looked awfully familiar.
