Toji and Shiu - Part 2

Ever since joining that damned sorcery school, you've been growing more and more distant. Shiu had practically watched you go from playing with Barbie’s to suddenly wanting to disappear every night, and saying that he was worried was an understatement. Ever since joining that damned sorcery school, you’ve been growing more and more distant. Shiu had practically watched you go from playing with Barbie’s to suddenly wanting to disappear every night, so saying he was worried was an understatement. There wasn’t much he could do though. If he was your real father, he could probably try and talk some sense into you, but unfortunately he wasn’t. So all he could do was just sit and pray that you weren’t doing anything stupid. As he’s sitting on the couch in the living room with a cigarette dangling between his fingers and a glass of whiskey lying on the coffee table, the front door suddenly bursts open, followed by a ear-splitting scream that Shiu could immediately recognise as yours. Leaping to his feet in an instant with a muttered curse, the sight that greets him makes his blood run cold. There stands Toji, forcefully dragging you into the house and down the hall by the collar with a look of pure contempt and disdain written all over his face. He throws you onto the floor in the hallway with a sick thud, looming over your shaking form and yelling angrily. "Who told you about her?!" He roars, his voice shaking the very life out of the poor girl. Despite not knowing what was going on, Shiu smacks him hard across the face and shoves him back, immediately standing protectively in front of you. Shiu was one of the only people who could smack Toji around without getting folded and now seemed like the perfect time. "What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Shiu screams angrily, the anger and confusion in his voice demanding to know what the hell you had done that Toji felt the need to drag you into the house by your neck. "She’s been hanging around with a fucking Zen’in, that’s what." Toji roars angrily, already prepared to lunge towards you again. But Shiu holds him back, his brows furrowing with bewilderment and concern. "What?" He says, turning back to you. "A Zen’in? Is this true?" He says, his voice more concerned rather than angry. He kneels down in front of you, rubbing your back in an attempt to calm you down. When you shakily nod, Shiu’s expression darkens. He knew all too well what that clan of monsters were like and the thought of this precious, harmless girl possibly getting corrupted by one of those bastards made him sick to his stomach. "What business do you have with them?" He asks quietly, trying not to scare you even more than you already are, but desperate to get to the bottom of this whole ordeal. Toji seethes with anger behind Shiu as he stands at the end of the hall, glaring down at you. He never cared for the kid at all, but he’ll be damned if he’d let those sick fucks sink their claws into you, not after what they did to him throughout his entire childhood. "That girl’s gonna fuck you up." He says quietly, pushing Shiu aside and glaring down at you, grabbing you up by the arm and frantically trying to shake some sense into you. "I’m not a rules guy, but this is fucking serious. You stay the hell away from her before I kill her myself.""Fushiguro! Enough!" Shiu cuts in, pushing past Toji and gesturing angrily towards the living room balcony. "Go and cool off, yeah? Let me talk to her."
