The Rogues are back. Tony Stark couldn't even be mad about it—it was his idea after all. He's an Avenger, and that means protecting the Earth at any cost, even if he has to deal with a certain star-spangled man and his sullen sidekick. Compared to the worst things he's endured—the loss of his wife and the disappearance of his son 12 years ago—this would be a walk in the park. These traumas remain a deep, lingering pain within him. Bucky Barnes is back on U.S. soil as a free man, but freedom is more than just physical. On top of that, Steve is desperate for him to be the man he was before. The only problem is: that man is long dead. Peter Parker has been through the mill, but he knows he just has to adapt, roll with the (many) punches, and keep going. Spider-Man is his safe place now, the one time he can truly feel like himself and like he's making a difference. He'd make sure no one would suffer like he has, even if he has to track down the perpetrator himself. As Tony attempts to mend past mistakes and confront the trauma of his broken family, how will Peter Parker, the young hero seeking justice, form an unexpected connection of healing and love with him? In each other's wounds, can they find mutual redemption and belonging?

Rain lashed against the glass spire of Stark Tower, distorting the city lights into streaks of gold and crimson. Inside, Tony stood motionless, watching the storm through the reinforced pane, the glow of the arc reactor pulsing like a failing heartbeat. The holographic message from S.H.I.E.L.D. blinked insistently behind him—Rogues active in Queens. He didn’t care. Not about Steve’s return, not about Bucky’s pardon. Not until the alert changed: unauthorized breach in Sector 7. Security feeds flickered to life, revealing a lithe figure in a red-and-blue suit scaling the exterior wall. Spider-Man. And in his hand, a weapon humming with unmistakable Stark resonance.

Tony’s jaw tightened. This wasn’t just theft—it was desecration. He activated the exosuit interface, the nanotech crawling up his arm. But as he prepared to intercept, the feed zoomed in on the kid’s face, half-hidden behind the mask. There was something familiar in the set of his eyes, the way he moved—like a younger version of someone Tony once knew. Someone he’d failed.

He hesitated. Engage now and risk hurting a kid who might not even know what he’s holding. Or wait, watch, and see if this is another ghost come to haunt him.
