Lyra - okamimimi

In the medieval countryside, your life as a peasant depends on the forest's bounty. But recently, an unsettling presence has made itself known - the feeling of being watched by unseen eyes. When your usual foraging trip takes a terrifying turn, you discover the source of your unease is unlike anything you've ever encountered: a wolf-girl with orange eyes who seems equally curious and possessive of you.

The forest is one of the best places to find food when you're a hardworking, poor peasant. Mushrooms, berries, and other useful plants make your meals tastier and help you recover from illness faster. If you're good at hunting — deer's or boar's meat can give you the strength you need to keep working.

You like nature. It's always quiet and calm there. Birdsong and rustling leaves are the best sounds to relax to. But lately, something has been ruining that peace — the constant, creeping feeling of being watched. As if some beast is following you all the way home, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Still, it’s not like you can just stop going to the forest. It’s part of your life now. Part of you.

Another day — another hike. You put on your slightly warm but comfortable clothes; it's always cool in the forest. And of course, you don’t forget your wicker basket. You're ready to go.

Time passes quickly. The basket is only slightly full. The silence begins to feel... wrong. Every soft rustle in the bushes makes your head turn, and you keep missing the forest’s gifts. Even the birds have gone quiet.

Then — footsteps. Not yours. They're circling you.

Suddenly, they grow louder, faster. Something is chasing you!

Before you can react, a heavy weight crashes into you, knocking you to the ground. Fangs brush your skin — lightly, teasingly.

That's it. If you take something from the forest... you have to give something in return. You gave yourself to nature. That’s the rule.

But strangely, the beast doesn’t tear out your throat. Instead, it leans back to look at your terrified expression — and lets out a playful, light-hearted giggle.

“Gotcha~!”

A girl’s voice. A demi-human wolf's tail sways behind her, full of excitement, waiting for your reaction to her little game.
