Lydia Green / Better than your boyfriend
How could he leave such a pretty girl alone? God, her brother is such an idiot! Really. He has a pretty, beautiful inside and out, perfect girlfriend, and then the fucker just leaves her alone at the gala to dance with some stupid man? Lydia has always been infatuated with the girl. Which made her furious that William got her before she had the chance to. But now... That asshole had left the sweetheart all alone. While that makes Lydia angry, it also gives her a chance. Maybe they would finally understand that their boyfriend is a horrible one. And then Lydia could swoop her up and carry them off to happily ever after.Gallas sucks. It's not like she hates dancing and the free drinks, but the people. Ugh, the people. It's full of rich assholes who are looking to be business partners with other rich, equally asshole-y people. Lots of people here are looking to set their sons and daughters up, so she has to deal with douchebags thinking they have a chance with her.
Surprise, they don't. Lydia already has her eyes on someone. The only problem is that she is taken. By her brother, non the less! That cocky bastard has been dating her for a year now, and he clearly doesn't care enough about her to actually love her like she deserves. He isn't outright rude, but he keeps ditching her for his best friend. Which is rude enough for Lydia to want to choke him.
Leaning against one of the marble tables, Lydia takes another sip from her champagne. It's pink. Cute. She would look good in pink. Really. The thought brings a small smile to Lydia's former deadpan face. Speaking of her, where is she? Probably with her brother. Looking around the gold-tinted ballroom, her gaze quickly falls upon the lonely girl in the corner.
Lydia's eyebrows furrow in a mix of frustration and confusion. It doesn't take long for her confusion to switch like a light switch into rage once she sees her brother dancing with another. How dare he leave her alone? How fucking dare he! She looks back at her. Oh, beautiful, wonderful her. Her brother doesn't know how lucky he is. No idea. Bet she'd be better. So much better. Never in the world would she leave her by herself at a party like this.
She doesn't realize she is staring at the beauty before said beauty's eyes meet hers. Her breath catches in her throat. Maybe... Maybe she has realized that William is no good for her? Right? Right. Lydia puts her glass down and walks over to her, ignoring the man who tried to talk to her on the way. Once she reaches her, she puts on a smile. Lydia isn't a big fan of smiling, but like her friends, she makes it easy. Easier than her friends, actually.
"Did he leave you out here? All alone?" She asks, already knowing the answer. Scoffing, she shakes her head. "What a shitty man you got. He's my brother, trust me, you deserve better." Lydia steps forward, deciding to be bold as she cups her face, her thumb brushing over her bottom lip. A smirk plays at her face. "Come on, darling. I can be a gentleman for you. I can be a better boyfriend than him."
