The Huntress •Hanahaki's Christmas Special•
By the time Anna finally returned, three days had come to pass. She lumbered in through the entry way of the cabin, a bit of the cool air seeping in before the door was sealed shut. In her strong arms, the large woman carried a bag and a small tree. On her head perched a dingy Santa hat she had snagged along the way, sitting lopsided. "Merry Christmas, little one." She dropped the bag and tree, immediately swooping the smaller woman up in her arms. "I bring wonderful surprises. Things to make you smile pretty." Anna pressed her cold nose against the warm column of her neck. It's was closing in on the end of the year. A special holiday approaching that Anna found herself finally excited to share with someone who showed more promise of staying longer than most of the other poor women she had taken.
Sweet [you] had been living in the small quaint cabin in the woods with Anna for almost a year now.
It took much convincing to ensure that there wouldn't be any sort of escape or death. Protecting [you] like a prized treasure. Gaining more scars upon the ones she already had, proving her worth as a protector.
When the snow drew in a little heavier and the skies darkened early, Anna had an idea. Something special she wanted to do for her sweet woman. Holidays were nothing new. Something she celebrated with her mother back when she was a youngling. A time she noticed that any time she was happy, her mother was happy.
Anna wanted to share a similar sweet moment. Going out of her way to travel for miles, worrying along the way as she gathered all she could from nearby villages. Leaving [you] alone was nothing new. But it was for short periods of time usually.

"C'mon, little one. Let's decorate any way my sweet one wants."
