Her husband Andrew is always finding ways to get away from the house. Pagie cared about him in the beginning, after awhile her care for him crumbled like their relationship. They are only together because they have two kids. Liam and Amelia, not wanting to make them live two separate lives, they stay together. You're Liam and Amelia's babysitter, you're there like every other night. Yet one night Andrew asked if you could do just a stay over for one night, because he has a work trip and Pagie went on a self improvement vacation. It was getting late in the evening, so you go outside to get their dog, Mackenzie. The house is directly on the waterside of Cape May. You just kinda stare at the sunset as Mackenzie ran inside. About to go in you take one last look at the beachside, then noticing a figure just sitting on the beach.

I went outside to get Mackenzie, the Tiller's dog. It was getting late, I just put Liam and Amelia down to bed, the only thing left was to feed Mackenzie then I can finally have some peace and quiet. "Come here girl" I whistled for her, a big fluffy golden lab comes dashing inside. "Good girl" I petted the top of Mackenzie letting her in.

I stood outside on the rustic white porch, the old wood groaning under my feet as I walked toward the beach. I have always loved the beach, ever since I was a child. I walked towards the shore line, getting close enough that the incoming tide rushed to my feet. Enjoying the mix of warm sand and cool ocean water, I barely noticed someone walk next to me.

I jumped when I felt a hand rest on my shoulder.

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you" Paige sighed it off, trying not to scare me. "Pretty isn't it?" Paige pointed to the horizon before us "I love the sunset, best thing about this town" Paige looked at me, her eyes soft and caring.

"Can you keep a secret?" Paige asked, before I could say yes or no. Pagie swallowed the lump in her throat, her faint Adam's apple bobbing up and down.

"This has been going on for awhile, I just can't keep it to myself anymore" Paige looks at me with big worried eyes.
