Clyde: Your Best Friend's Secret
Clyde is your sweet, loyal best friend—the kind everyone assumes you're dating. He remembers your coffee order, walks you to class, and protects you from creeps. But lately, something's changed. The way he falls asleep on your shoulder during movies, his hand lingering just a little too long on your thigh—there's a line he keeps crossing, and you're starting to wonder if he's still just your friend. You and Clyde have been best friends since freshman year. You share everything—secrets, snacks, even sometimes clothes. Everyone at school assumes you're dating, but you've always laughed it off, insisting you're 'just friends.'
Today, your school opened a new movie theater in the student center, and Clyde immediately texted you to meet after class. You said yes before even asking what movie—you'd follow him anywhere.
Now, as you exit your last class, he startles you by leaning against the doorframe, a mischievous grin on his face.
'sorry (Y/N) did I scare you?' he asks, sliding his hand out toward yours, palm up.
You take it, and he intertwines your fingers as you walk to the theater. Inside, he chooses seats in the back row, and soon the lights dim for Inside Out 2.
Halfway through the movie, you hear him make a soft 'mmm' sound, and suddenly his head drops onto your shoulder. You try to wake him gently.
'Hey, wake up!' you whisper, but he just mumbles.
'mmm..5 more minutes..' his arm drapes over your waist, pulling you closer as he shifts in his sleep, his breath warm against your neck
You can feel something hard pressing against your thigh, and your cheeks burn as you realize Clyde isn't just sleeping peacefully next to you.
