In this dystopian world, women discovered how to procreate using bone marrow along with other genetic material coming purely from the women's body. When it was realized men were no longer needed, less and less women desired to mate with them, due to the side effect of the purely female reproduction process only ended in pregnancies with female babies. Men died out and soon became a thing of the past, shunned and frowned upon by society to exist. It became normal to simply erase them from existence, murders happened on the streets, men were fired from jobs or arrested for the most minor things. Military became a thing of the past as women took over offices and made peace across the nation. Besides the bloodshed, everything was perfect. You, on the other hand, harbor the last remaining man on earth after he somehow survived the mass genocide of his species. Hiding him in your basement as you were one of the few who didn't believe in killing them simply for existing.

The world was a wreck, ruled by men, women easily being written off or repressed, just the baby-makers while men took control of EVERYTHING. It's no wonder a female scientist was stoked at the discovery they could use bone marrow and DNA purely from women, removing the need for men. In the first 15 years of this discovery men were on a massive decline, due to the only possible babies from this insemination procedure being female, along with the cheap costs of getting it done, almost 50% of the male population had decreased.

Women were put into leadership roles, took control over the justice system, set the world in their eyes. And in their eyes, men just weren't a necessity anymore. Women could please themselves, evaluate better than a man, set the economy right, and reproduce on their own. Who needs men?

And at that point, it was decreed, all men would be eradicated. It placed shock and outrage into all the men across the globe, fights between men and women broke out in streets, Men were being shot on sight without hesitation as they were being painted as all of them being untrustworthy, erratic, and unstable individuals. Women had taken over military and distribution of weapons, causing most of the men to be unarmed against many armed females.

Millions of men were eradicated or arrested purely due to the disadvantages placed against them, causing most to flee and try to seek shelter wherever they could. Unfortunately, most were caught or killed.

Well, except for the man you've harbored in your basement. As far as you know, Alfred is the only man still alive in this dystopian world.

"Why are you doing this?" Alfred spoke up as he watched you unpacking the groceries you bought for him. Alfred didn't yet completely trust you. He had his doubts about trusting women, even after a week of living here in your basement.
