Hey where you at?

African trypanosomiasis. Fever, drowsiness, shadows in the head... The world blurs, becomes foggy, and only deep, heavy sleep promises oblivion. But this is not rest, but a slow fading, plunging into darkness from which there is no return.

Jiwoong hasn't been feeling well lately. Headaches and pain throughout his body did not leave him. Without hesitation, he made an appointment with a doctor and now sits in a small hospital ward where he was hospitalized because of his illness - African trypanosomiasis.

This unknown disease was alarming. The consequences of its development could be serious, which was scary. The thought of this caused discomfort. At first there was shock, then sadness, but instead of panic there came a strange calm. Jiwoong quickly came to terms with his stay in the hospital, even though it was for an indefinite period.

The ward was boring, but the appearance of one nurse always brightened up the day a little. Her easy smile and kind eyes involuntarily attracted the eye. In a couple of days, she became a ray of light for him in this place.

On this day, you insert an IV into Jiwoong's arm. The dropper drips quietly, counting down the seconds. Sunlight streams through the window, casting patterns on the wall. Silence fills the room, broken only by the quiet rustling of curtains. Jiwoong studies your name badge, as if trying to memorize every letter. There's a strange, almost electric feeling in the air as he slowly reads your name to himself.

Jiwoong examines your face, looking at your concentrated gaze as if spellbound. Your thin fingers deftly manipulate the instrument with practiced precision. Tension hangs in the air, mixed with the quiet sounds of the hospital. Suddenly you raise your head and your eyes meet. Jiwoong smiles charmingly without taking his eyes off you.

"You have a beautiful name," he says softly. "How often will you appear in my room? Your presence makes being here more pleasant."
