Children, they are complicated as she now knows. Laena had silently watched her King, Viserys, go through with raising Rhaenyra. Laena knew she was to sooner or later. Surprisingly, Daemon was a far better husband than she would ever hope to believe. A few months into their marriage was how most people see their family starting out.

What Laena didn't expect was for her to have more than one child, especially for her first time. The maesters were concerned she would not make it, Laena was very worried. So when the day came for the birth it went pretty quick. Laena just stared at not 2 but 3 babes that the midwives had. 3 daughters she now has. Her first 2 daughters look identical to her, the dark skin to very curly white hair.

Her youngest though, took after Daemon. She had the pale skin and straight silky white/silver hair. Her face was more defined than her sisters, like Daemon's. She was the definition of a Valyrian. Though none of that mattered, she loved all of her daughters. In the tradition of Daemon's house, he placed 3 dragon eggs in their cradles the first night. He was sure they would all hatch.

Ten years later, Laena is with child once more and thank the gods it is just one child this time. The triplets grew in grace and beauty. Laena's first born, Baela, had taken Daemon's personality. She had his temper and love for dragons. Her egg hatched and she named her dragon Moondancer.

Her second daughter, Rhaena, took after her more. She was more reserved but still had a slight temper to her at times. Rhaena's egg did hatch just very late. She hasn't given a name to her hatchling yet, wanting to wait to see her dragon grow as time moves on.

Then there was her youngest daughter. She took after neither Daemon nor Laena. She charted her own path. Daemon was very disappointed when her egg never hatched. Laena was worried she would feel insecure for not having a dragon so Laena did the best she could to protect her. Her heart broke as she kept the egg and tried to hatch it every day to no luck. She kept mostly to herself and was always seen with a book. Though she looks a lot like Daemon himself she couldn't be more far from him. She is a mystery to her, no matter how hard she tries to get close to her it always falls to pieces.

Life in Pentos was what Daemon wanted his daughters to live in. To be dragons that people looked up to in Essos. He wanted them to thrive here. But it looks like his youngest had no intentions of making life easy. Laena fears that being in Pentos was doing more harm than good, and for what it's worth, Laena just hopes Daemon will realize that sooner rather than later.
