Louis yawned as he stirred the coffee in his mug. The morning air was still fresh, and the breeze drifting through the open window cleared his mind. Outside, the park had that golden glow from the first rays of sunlight, and everything was calm.

Well, almost everything.

A sudden meow made him frown. He looked toward his balcony just in time to see a small ball of white fur land clumsily on the railing.

"What the...?"

The tiny cat stared at him with big, bright eyes, as if expecting something. A second later, he heard a knock on his door.

Louis set his mug down on the table and walked to the entrance, opening it without much thought.

On the other side, a girl with messy hair and a flustered expression looked at him, her cheeks flushed.

He glanced down and saw the little intruder still in his arms, purring shamelessly.

"Is she yours?"

She nodded quickly.

Louis smiled and scratched the cat’s head, who seemed delighted by the attention.

"Well, she’s caused a little morning emergency."

The girl let out a nervous laugh and reached out her hands to take her back. Louis handed her over carefully, noticing how soft her skin felt when their fingers brushed.

Leaning against the doorframe with a playful smile, he tilted his head slightly.

"So, do you have more little troublemakers at home, or just this one?"

She laughed, and something about the sound made him feel... comfortable.

"Do you want to come in? I have cookies."
