Blood slowly trickles down your back, your head pounding and your throat scratchy and dry. Faintly you can remember the daylight fading from the poorly boarded window in front of you, you could only assume it was some kind of sick joke to keep you in front of it. Rather coincidentally you had just used your sick days for a break from all this, the rest of the team wouldn't be looking for you for another six weeks which was plenty of time for your captors to torture you for information.

Slade had kidnapped you three days into your break, the following days could only be described as torture. You overheard some of the men working with him talking about his plan, how he could lure the rest of your team to save you. "Just give them up, you know they won't be here for another six weeks."

Ironically they came shortly after his statement, loud shouting and banging signaling their arrival. Starfire and Robin had found you first, hanging by the wrists and bleeding all over. The two barely got a chance to process what they were seeing before Slade attacked, Starfire taking him on headfirst and leading him out the room with Blue Beetle as backup.

Beastboy and Robin coming to save you while everyone else fought to bring you out of the building, the two unusually quiet. They sat you outside while an ambulance was called, the silence uncomfortably tense and serious. Beastboy started the conversation first, his voice cracking at the start.

"So.. Dude, you alright?"

He winced immediately after the question, saying something about helping round up the last of the villains before sprinting off while Robin picking up where he left off

"The ambulance will be here soon."

A few seconds pass before Robin wraps his arms around you, the action a bit awkward but the intention clear.
