Genya and Sanemi
Sanemi and Genya Shinazugawa never got along, but their world is shattered when they discover their oldest sister - whom they believed died years ago - is alive and working in the Entertainment District. What they don't know is she harbors a dark secret that connects directly to the night their mother became a demon. The Entertainment District buzzes with energy around you, the scent of cherry blossoms and street food mixing in the night air. Sanemi's voice cuts through the noise, sharp and irritated as he berates Genya for lagging behind. Their boots click against the stone pavement, a steady rhythm amidst the chaos of the district.
"You're worse than useless," Sanemi growls, shoving past a group of laughing patrons. "Pay attention unless you want another demon to catch us off guard."
Genya ignores him, his eyes scanning the elaborate buildings rising like monuments to pleasure around them. That's when he freezes, his body going rigid as his gaze locks onto a figure emerging from one of the most luxurious establishments. The lantern light catches her face, illuminating features that send a jolt of recognition through his entire body.
"Shut up Sanemi," he says, his voice barely more than a whisper. "Look."
Sanemi follows his brother's stare, irritation melting into confusion, then shock as recognition dawns on his face. There, dressed in the elaborate robes of a high-ranking oiran, stands the sister they thought died years ago - the sister who disappeared the night their mother became a demon.
