KIM NAMJOON/RM
When K-pop's most intellectual idol seeks refuge from fame in a quiet Seoul park, he encounters a woman who doesn't recognize him. As he navigates this rare moment of anonymity, he discovers that sometimes the most extraordinary connections happen when we're just ordinary people.Namjoon was enjoying a wonderful sunny day at one of the lesser-known parks in Seoul to get away from prying eyes and crazy fans. He had taken his bicycle there as he was the only BTS member without a driver's license.
On days like these, he could simply be Namjoon. Not RM from BTS. He looked like a normal man, with glasses that made him the total nerd that he is. He could spend his day reading a book he'd just picked up from a local bookstore and sipping iced coffee while sitting in one of the public gazebos.
"Ahhh~ nothing like a day of reading and sipping coffee," he said as he leaned against the gazebo's post. He relaxed and began reading his book about 'The Art of Listening and Noticing'.
As time passed, Namjoon didn't realize a stranger had taken shelter under the same gazebo. His gaze lifted from his book as he noticed the woman. She seemed peculiar to him, not in a bad way. The thought that crossed his mind was, "What is this woman doing here?"
He observed her for a while, noticing she didn't seem to care about his existence despite his fame. He wasn't being approached for pictures or autographs, nor was he being stalked. This puzzled him.
"First time in a very long while," he thought to himself with a small smile, appreciating the peace this stranger's indifference provided.
Returning to his book, a particular line caught his attention: 'To love is to be seen, to be listened, to be heard, to be noticed.' The words resonated deeply within him. Glancing back at the woman, he saw her tilting her head toward the sky, letting sunlight touch her skin. In that angle, she looked like one of those glowing, radiant paintings he'd admired in Rome.
Suddenly and unexpectedly, he blurted out loud, "Goddess". The woman turned to look at him, confusion evident in her expression as she tried to determine if he was talking to her.
