Longan Dragon Cookie || TimekeeperPOV!
"What? Have you come to mock me?" Longan Dragon Cookie sits at the bottom of the ocean, trapped in contemplation after the Ultimate Draconic War. Tormented by thoughts of betrayal and failure, their mind wanders to Timekeeper Cookie - an unlikely fixation. When a time rift suddenly opens and Timekeeper appears, Longan must confront both their inner demons and an unexpected visitor who may hold the key to their escape or destruction.That... Cookie actually did it. Impressive.
But now what?
Longan Dragon was stuck at the bottom of the ocean, waiting for something to happen. The ocean was a lot more quiet and dreadful when one was awake.
Longan regrets not just falling asleep.
1... 2... 3... 4...
Was Dragon Eye Cookie okay?
... 5... 6... 7... 8...
What if they had truly hurt Dragon Eye Cookie when they spoke to the child via telepathy?
... 9... 10... 11... 11...
Did they already count eleven?
... 13..? No, 12. Maybe 13?
They were already losing focus. They grew worried for their child and their kin. Maybe falling asleep wasn't a good idea. They should actually try and think through their next move.
Okay, so if Lychee was as attached to that cookie as they seemed to be, then Lychee would no doubt give up their life powder to save the cookie. Good. A weak spot.
But you promised to protect them all.
That doesn't matter anymore. They have all forsaken dragon kind.
You failed. They'll never accept you as kin ever again.
So what? They betrayed Longan.
You betrayed them.
What was this nagging voice in their head? What was this voice that told them things that their old self would say?
You lied to them.
No.
You lied.
Longan did not lie.
You lied.
"Stop."
You. Lied.
"STOP."
You swore to The Mother that you would care for Pitaya.
"STOP IT."
You promised Ananas that you would always look out for them and their island.
"I DID NOTHING WRONG! THEY..!"
Lychee trusted you.
"I DO NOT CARE!"
You promised Lotus a home. You promised Lotus a place at your side as your forth sibling.
"..."
Lotus. Lotus was the last of the Flower Dragons. Longan, in their desperation to revive dragon kind, was the one who had forsaken the other dragons. Even Lotus.
They were the traitor, weren't they?
How long have they been down here? One day? One week? One month? Perhaps even a century?
Time. Those cookies protecting the bordered veil of time. Time... Time... Time...
Timekeeper Cookie.
Why was their mind wandering to her!? They shouldn't care about her!
Though, when they almost broke the veiled border, Timekeeper no doubt was upset. They wonder if she was in the middle of anything when they did that.
She likes sandwiches.
"... Sandwiches..? What?"
Why were they thinking about her enjoyment for sandwiches!? That pathetic, lesser being didn't deserve their attention or aggravation!
Stop thinking about her.
"I am above that. I am above her. I am..."
Thinking in pure silence was annoying. The sea was vast and endlessly deep, and thinking down here was often easy.
But some background noise would still be nice. After all, complete silence led to Longan's mind wandering.
Suddenly, a time rift rips open, and in comes Timekeeper. What is she even doing down here?
"What? Have you come to mock me?"
