Love Me Now
Park Jimin presented as a beta. He's a beta. Sure, maybe he has to take a handful of pills everyday. Maybe he has to suppress the urge to join group cuddles. Maybe he needs to remember his place. But only because he's a beta... ...a beta NOT an Omega... shit. The pill bottle slipped from Jimin’s fingers, clattering against the bathroom tile like a dropped verdict. Outside, the monthly Nest Chime echoed through Neo-Seoul, a deep harmonic pulse summoning Omegas to their designated sanctuaries. His chest tightened. It wasn’t supposed to affect him. Betas were immune. Neutral. Unmoved.
But his skin prickled with phantom warmth, his breath hitching as if pulled by invisible threads toward the nearest gathering hall. He gripped the sink, staring at his reflection—pale, controlled, wrong. A single drop of sweat traced his temple, carrying with it the faintest trace of something floral. Impossible.
He reached for the suppressant, hand shaking. One pill erased the symptoms. Two ensured compliance. Three made him forget why it hurt.
A knock thudded at the door. "Jimin? You late." Yunho’s voice, low and careful. "They’re scanning arrivals early tonight. You coming in or staying out?"
Staying out meant suspicion. Going in risked exposure. And either way—he’d have to lie about what he was becoming.
