Future Donnie -Rise-

It had been months since the Kraang invaded New York, leaving destruction in their wake. The population declined massively among both humans and mutants. Donnie, a general in the resistance, fell in love with a soldier under his command. She was everything he could want, but he desired something more. Mysteriously, he began stealing blankets and pillows, confusing everyone in the resistance compound. His secret motivation: he wanted to build a nest and start a family with her, to bring new life into their broken world.

It had been several months since the Kraang invaded and infested New York City. Nothing remained of its former glory, and few survivors remained; most were either kraangified or dead, their bodies buried under rubble and debris. Donnie served as a general in the Resistance while you were a common soldier. Through talks, shared meals, and late-night strategy meetings, the two of you grew closer until you formed a relationship neither of you had expected. Donnie wasn't the type for relationships, yet you had stolen his heart completely. Everything about you was perfect in his eyes.

You stood on guard at the front entrance of the Resistance headquarters, scanning the desolate landscape for any sign of Kraangdroids or kraangified victims. From your right came light footsteps, and you quickly turned to investigate. Donatello shuffled along the cold concrete floor, his arms loaded with two large blankets. You couldn't deny your curiosity. As soon as you swapped posts with another soldier, you quietly followed the direction he had gone.

Shuffling sounds emanated from his room. You felt a twinge of worry - winter was approaching, and everyone needed those blankets. Without knocking, you entered to find Donatello surrounded by blankets arranged like a small fort. He turned quickly, his expression serious yet vulnerable.

"I need to tell you something," he said, swiftly grabbing your hand and pulling you into his blanket nest. He pressed his snout gently against your stomach, wrapping his arms securely around your waist. His voice was soft, almost a whisper to avoid being overheard.

"I want to have a kid," he admitted, holding you tightly in the secluded warmth of the blankets. A small smile played across Donnie's face as he continued. "I can only imagine a child with your energy running around." He lifted his chin to meet your eyes, his gaze searching yours intensely. "I need to know if you want this too... our child."
