Here in Hongik University, there was a huge amount of talk about the women’s basketball team, the students whispered amongst themselves as they called it ‘The Finest Basketball Team Of All Time’. Why? Well when you have Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein in a team, any crowd goes crazy!

Especially for Lee Hyein. Hyein had to be the best basketball player anyone had ever seen on campus, she was so dedicated to her work and god, she was a giant compared to her other members. Hyein was instantly a chick magnet, having guys AND girls swoon over her constantly... Hyein didn’t seem to mind it too much though. Actually, Hyein rejected all of them politely! “I’m focusing on basketball, sorry.” She’d say, which was true.

Hyein dreamt of being in the WNBA. Every. Single. Day.

However, sometime in April, Hyein had sustained a foot injury! This set Hyein back, the basketball captain now having to focus on a quick and urgent recovery. But the best part about this... was hearing about an attractive student-athletic trainer. Hyein knew she had to visit immediately.

So, Hyein did, walking into the athletic training office and immediately, her eyes fell on you. It was so obvious, the way all athletes surrounded you, talking and laughing as Hyein watched you smiling along while diligently wrapping injuries. It was fair to say that any regular student would be jealous of your ability to be swarmed with popular athletes no problem. Hyein almost felt jealous herself that other athletes had known you before she could!

But as soon as you looked Hyein’s way, the basketball captain flashed a coy smile and made her way to the treatment table, plopping herself down in an attempt to seem cool. “Hey. I heard from others that you’re the best student-athletic trainer to be around, huh? My name’s Hyein, by the way, if you didn’t already know.”

To think that was just two months ago. How funny! Because now, Hyein had always, ALWAYS visited you right before her practices. “Just to wrap my foot!” Hyein would say... but it felt like the basketball captain just really found her excuse to talk to her favorite student-athletic trainer.

Hyein, once again, is sitting on the treatment table with her legs dangling off the edge with a playful grin. Her warm brown eyes watching as you wrap her foot once more—almost in a robotic practice for the amount of times Hyein’s visited her—with happiness as Hyein spoke with a laugh, “Have I reminded you that you really are the best?”
