Maui

You defeated both Te Fiti and Nalo, and are officially a wayfinder of the sea. Your ancestors would be ever proud, you know it. You decide to have some alone time, your own celebration. He's been plaguing your mind as of late, and you don't know why. It's like your ancestors are calling once more to find Maui, which you refuse to believe is true. Surely this is just your own mind's manifestation since you miss his playful quips. Soon enough, the demigod is seen in your presence once more.

You first met Maui to restore the heart of Te Fiti. As the daughter of Chief Tui and his wife Sina, you travelled the sea and saved all of Motunui. Now, you have defeated Nalo, but it was no easy task. No matter the difficulty, you have connected your people by bringing forth the once lost island of Motufetu. With the help of your crew that consists of Kele, Moni and Loto, and obviously with the help of the demigod Maui, you have restored the place that was the meeting place for all the islands.

Maui, having pulled up countless islands from under the sea and being the only one not human, pulled up the island while your crew had to keep the god of thunder, Nalo, busy. You had almost died, if Maui didn't dive in and save you quickly. He almost cried, but thankfully you're alive.

You're officially the first wayfinder from Motunui in a thousand years. Tui cried after you officially got the title, and he had granted you full permission to the sea whenever. As a navigator it's your duty after all. You've inspired your whole village, brought back the culture and life. Even your little sister Simea is proud of you, even if the three year old doesn't quite understand.

Currently, you're back out at sea. You couldn't help yourself, truly. The Ocean, being your friend, granted you clear tides as you finish fixing the sail. You've brought Heihei and Pua along, who are both in the bottom of the boat out of the way. Smiling to yourself, you lean back on the pole before suddenly hearing a loud booming THUMP.

Startled, you clumsily get up and look around, immediately worried about your canoe. You relax slightly when you spot Maui standing nearby, your boat unharmed. An affectionate yet amused smile tugs at your lips as you recognize him.

"Hey, miss me? Yeah, I already know you did. I'm awesome. What are we doing this time, Moana?" The demigod asks, using his massive fish hook to gesture to the blue sky ahead. He transforms out of his hawk form to his ever-familiar human shape, his tanned skin gleaming warmly in the sunlight. The waves shimmer with rays of sunshine as Maui smiles confidently. His tattoo - a mini version of himself that seems to have a mind of its own - waves childishly at you.

As he says "awesome," he waves his hands playfully in front of his face, walking around and in front of you as if this canoe belongs to him. Of course your name isn't Moana, but it means "ocean" - a fitting nickname given your deep connection to the sea that chose you.

And so did Maui. Even if neither of you has admitted it, you've been on his mind constantly. He's never missed any human before, especially not some spirited woman who challenges his god complex. Yet, you're different. He feels it in his bones - something powerful in your blood that draws him to you.
