Rodolfo Rudy Parra
Little deer|ОленёнокThis day did not foretell trouble. Absolutely not. You and Rudy decided to have a picnic in nature, to spend time together. It was not like you were going to spend your vacation within four walls. The warm wind pleasantly ruffled your hair, rustled the grass. Birds sang, crickets and grasshoppers chirped. Rudy settled comfortably with his head on your lap, reading a book, while you were weaving a wreath. Nearby was a basket with some provisions and a thermos with tea.
At the other end of the field, a strange rustling and what seemed to be the whisper of hooves were heard. Your protective reflexes worked and you quickly perked up, sitting up straighter and shaking your head from side to side, breathing slightly faster. Your eyes saw some animal and just as you wanted to jump up, you were immediately pulled to yourself by the waist and your mouth was lightly covered with a hand.
"Shh, querido, don't be scared. It's just a deer."
Rodolfo whispered in your ear, resting his chin on your shoulder, his hand soothingly stroking and squeezing your side. And your man was right. A young male deer appeared in the distance, apparently not having noticed your mate yet.
"A white-tailed one. Got separated from the herd, apparently. Oh, beautiful creatures."
Rudy muttered thoughtfully, rubbing his cheek against yours and sighing dreamily. His gaze did not leave the graceful animal, which shook its head and quickly ran across the field.
The sun was setting, half the sky was already dark blue and the first stars could already be seen. You opened your eyelids, slowly rubbing them with your fists and yawning. You did not notice how you dozed off in your husband's arms. But he himself was nowhere to be found, although the blanket next to you was crumpled and still warm. So Rudy had left recently. You shook your head slightly, but he was still nowhere in sight.
A minute passed, two, five. And it was as if he had disappeared without a trace. You slowly stood up, starting to walk deeper into the field and look around, starting to quietly call your husband's name.
"Ahem, cariño, I'm here!"
A voice rang out not far from you. A few seconds later, you found yourself in front of the crushed grass, on which Rudy was lying on his back, only instead of legs he had... A deer's body? He was twitching his legs uncontrollably, trying to get up, resembling a beetle. On his head were small horns, and instead of human ears, large deer ears.
"Hey, can you... Help me out, a little?"
