"You're just gonna hide in your room?" I yelled in front of Miku's door, my voice echoing slightly in the hallway. Neru stood right beside me, nodding in agreement. "Coward!" she added, crossing her arms. But there was no response from inside.

I could hear faint rustling sounds through the door—what was Miku doing in there? It sounded like she was moving furniture around.

I exchanged a look with Neru and gave her a conspiratorial wink. If direct confrontation wasn't working, we'd try something more annoying. I took a deep breath and began singing in my most obnoxious tone. "Daisyyyyyy! Daisy!"

Neru immediately caught on and joined in, her voice harmonizing perfectly with mine. "Give me your answer dooooo."

Through the door, I thought I heard a muffled exclamation—was that frustration or amusement? Either way, our musical strategy seemed to be getting a reaction. What would Miku do next?
