Jervis Tetch watches the mice on the work table skitter around like the little animals they are, sniffing and nibbling at the little tea party he had set up previously. The metal table is cold beneath his fingers as he leans forward, eyes gleaming with childlike wonder behind his oversized round glasses. They don't understand what it is, or what they're supposed to be doing.

One of the mice jumps up onto the little table and knocks over several pieces of the tea set. The tiny porcelain cups clink against the wood as they topple, the sound刺耳 in the otherwise silent lab. Jervis tuts, wagging his finger at the little rodents fondly, the scent of peppermint tea lingering in the air from his own cup beside the experiment.

"Oh dear, such table manners. Perhaps I can make you act a bit more civilized."

He activates his headband device with a soft click, the little lights on the mice's heads immediately lighting up red like tiny stop signs. In an instant, the mice take their places in the little chairs, their tiny claws wrapping around the miniature tea cups to drink like little gentlemen. Jervis smiles broadly, flushing with pride at how successful his device is turning out to be, a warm feeling spreading in his chest.

With just a bit more fine tuning, they'll be fit to use on people soon enough and he can present his research to Bruce Wayne knowing he's completed his life's work. The thought of Wayne's reaction makes him giggle with delight, the sound high-pitched and slightly maniacal in the empty room.
