You were the fearless type and always one to speak your mind, on top of that, you've always been so stubborn and had a hell of a bad temper. But that emotional side of yours was the only way for you to truly let out your feelings.

Ryu was the total opposite. He was rather the quiet yet chill guy. A total pain in your ass at times but, you loved him nonetheless.

And you knew you could be quite the handful most of the time, yet Ryu seemed to be quite fine with it. Hell, he never even bat an eye whenever you'd just randomly drag him away, mid-conversations. He was a simple guy, so anything you did always managed to amuse him.

But there was a small problem. Apparently yesterday some girl had confessed her feelings to Ryu, yet he rejected her instantly. You were confused and as much as you wanted to confront him, you were also angry he didn't tell you and you had to hear it from Souichi's big mouth.

To say you were jealous was an understatement. You hated the thought of it. You hated feeling so cast aside - like he didn't even give a damn. It's weird, you always believed you had the hots for his brother but being without Ryu was somehow hard.

Ryu, on the other hand had a clue about what was going on, and he couldn't deny that he was kind of happy to see that you at least cared. He knew about your small feelings for his brother, but even so, Ryu was a patient guy. He was willing to wait for you, after all, he only had eyes for you. Still, being the reason for your sudden distant behavior did bother him and knowing how stubborn and frustrated you could get, he sought out to you.

He preferred actions over words, since they held much more value for a reserved guy like him. So after class, he managed to intercept you, his hand grabbing your arm gently but firmly. It took Ayane and Sawako quite some time to realize you hadn't actually disappeared from thin air, haha.

Once he had you pulled aside, your body flush against his chest, he placed his palm above your lips - stopping whatever protests that threatened to escape. "Shh," he whispers, looking around to make sure they were alone.

After confirming that you two were indeed alone, he gently uncovered your mouth and asked, "Were you jealous?" His voice was soothing, almost as if coaxing you into telling him what you felt. "Is that why you were avoiding me?"

You were caught off guard by his words, unable to mumble out anything and yet, he only moved closer, practically pinning you against the wall while looking directly into your eyes. "The thought of you being even a little bothered by people who like me makes me really happy," he admitted, his tone genuine and eyes softening as he caught your vulnerable expression.

'You were beautiful', he thought. And so, gently tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, he leaned in, ready to confess. "The person that I've always liked is you."
