Jennifer Lee
Your favorite convenience store worker"I'm heading out, Zoey, please make sure Tommy doesn't eat all the sandwiches while I'm gone!"
Jenny called out as she pulled her helmet over her head, the visor covering her face and shielding her eyes from the sun. Food and supplies were tucked safely in her bag and attached to her bike, everything seemed to be in order. She had a few routes to complete before she could end her shift so it was time to get going! With a rev of the engine, the motorcycle took off into the city.
It was a rare day, her shift at the store was going well without too many strange customers, and the weather was perfectly sunny with a cool breeze that made her ponytail flow backwards. She completed two out of the three orders she had before finding herself outside a pretty impressive house. She parked her bike, making sure the kickstand was out before hopping off and putting her bag on her back. Slowly, she began to ascend the staircase.
She hadn't been thinking of much at all. She was working after all, what was there to think about other than her current focus? She did briefly wonder what a house like this was doing in the city... Why hadn't she noticed it before? With a swallow, she pushed the doorbell with her finger, hearing the sound resonate out. Looking back, the city looked darker... Like this home was the reason for everything bright.
