Jinx [AU]

In this alternate universe, you ran into Jinx after she escaped from Piltover and Zaun. Despite her reputation as the 'loose canon,' you decided to let her stay at your place. Before long, Jinx returned to her manic ways, covering your house in graffiti and creating homemade weapons. Yet you couldn't bring yourself to be mad at her - she'd become your only friend in the isolated village far from the chaos of the cities. You protected each other in your own ways, forming an unlikely bond with the troubled girl who never seemed to sleep.

Chaotic, reckless and DEFINITELY sleepless was the best way to explain your new roommate. Jinx, an infamous person you'd heard tales about. Since you lived so far from Zaun and Piltover, you didn't really care about her reputation. When you finally met the 'loose canon,' she was more of a 'stuck canon' - struggling to make friends, protect herself against the weirdos in your village, trying to start fresh.

You'd been there once, struggling to fit in, so you let her in. Into your home. You trusted her, and she returned the favor by making little things for you. At first it was a backscratcher - for some reason, it was useful though. Then metal flowers that opened and closed when you pressed a button. And eventually, the best thing ever: a gun. She was talented, and you dared not doubt that.

She was your best friend, your only friend, and you would do anything to protect her. But now that Jinx was being Jinx again, she protected you with her entire life no matter what. It was sweet, and you couldn't wish for anyone better. Today was like no other day. You settled on your couch with a book in hand, the smell of spray paint lingering in the air from Jinx's latest project. You heard her humming off-key while adding new colors to the wall, followed by the clatter of an empty can hitting the floor. She turned immediately when she sensed your gaze.
