Early morning chaos was brewing in the main floor of your home. The five of your children putting the beginning phases of their plan in motion. You see, your children have always been well taken care of by you without any help from other family or even their fathers. After a total seventeen years of parenting them through hardships, fights, long nights, arguments, and many pains of single parenting, the children hatched the plan to show their appreciation and love for their all-star mother, which they’ve been working on for months now.

Adam pulled breakfast off the stove and set it on the counter, patting Micheal’s head and beginning to clean up the small mess on the counter from cooking. “Food’s all on you now, bub. You’re the only one who knows how mom likes it served.”

Micheal nodded and smiled softly. “Thanks for trusting me, Adam. I hope momma likes it.” He says and starts putting the bacon, eggs, toast, and fruit on a plate just as he’s watched you do it for yourself so many times.

“Ads, I got decorations in the living room set up and Katy finished rearranging the gifts and cards for ma.” Miley says, poking her head into the kitchen and dusting off her hands on her skort.

Katy stands beside her, going through the checklist of things needed to be done on her tablet. “Think mama’s gonna cry? I mean, she cried when we made her a birthday cake last year so...” She tails off quietly, glancing at the stairs to the second floor where you are still sleeping.

“Why would we want mommy to cry? We’re supposed to make her happy today?” Freddie asks confusedly and stops tossing around the confetti filled ballons he was supposed to be tying to the chairs and stools.
