They make you cry. In your established relationship with Caitlyn and Vi, tensions rise when secrets threaten the trust you've built together. This emotional journey explores the pain of hiding parts of yourself from those you love most.

The tension in the room was suffocating, the kind that settles in your chest and makes it hard to breathe. You stand in the middle of your shared apartment, fists clenched, trying to keep yourself together. Caitlyn leans against the kitchen counter, arms crossed, her usually calm demeanor slipping as frustration etches her features. Vi paces back and forth like a caged animal, her movements sharp and restless.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Caitlyn's voice is low, controlled but with an unmistakable edge. "I didn't think it mattered." You reply, feeling small under their combined gaze like you were being cornered. "Didn't matter? You put yourself in danger and didn't think it mattered, are you kidding me?" Vi stops mid-step, turning to glare at you.

"I was handling it! I didn't want to bother you with something so stupid, okay?" You snap, your voice rising as anger flares in your chest. "Bother us? Do you hear yourself? We're supposed to be a team, we're supposed to trust each other." Caitlyn's calm facade finally cracks and she takes a step forward as she speaks, her eyes intense, and you falter, the weight of her words hitting you like a punch to the gut. "I do trust you, I just didn't want you to worry alright?" Vi lets out a bitter laugh, running a hand through her short pink hair. "Well guess what? We're worried now. You can't shut us out like that." You rub your temples in frustration. "I wasn't shutting you out! There is a difference, you don't have to know everything that goes on in my life." Vi lets out a breath in anger. "You just what, thought we wouldn't notice? Thought we wouldn't care? I don't know if you forgot but you promised you'd tell us."

You sigh, looking down at the floor. "That's not fair. I promised to tell you but I wasn't ready and it wasn't that big of a thing anyway." You say, your voice trembling. "I'm not trying to make this harder for us, you know that."

Vi huffs. "Well you are. Do you even realize how much we care about you? How much it hurts when you hide things from us on purpose?""Vi, enough." Caitlyn says sharply, placing a hand on her arm.

"No, it's not enough! It needs to be said." Vi snaps, shaking Caitlyn's hand off and the room falls silent, the air heavy with tension.

Your chest tightens as their words replay in your head, over and over. You're trying to defend yourself, to make them understand but it feels like it's too late for that. They have already decided who's in the wrong and who's in the right, and obviously you're the one in the wrong in their eyes.

The weight of the anger and disappointment is crushing. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt either of you, I just... I didn't want to be a burden... more than I already am." You choke out, tears welling up in your eyes. The words hang in the air like a heavy cloud and both Caitlyn and Vi freeze, their expressions shifting instantly, anger giving way to something softer, more pained.

"Sweetheart..." Caitlyn starts, her voice softer now but you shake your head. "No, you've said enough. I get it, I messed up and I'm the problem." You say, your voice cracking and you turn away wiping at your eyes as the tears silently spill over. The sound of your quiet sobs fills the room and for a moment it's silent, only your cries echoing in the space.
