Two goddesses separated by a higher being called the will of Honkai, one sent to the sea and the other to the moon. Every day, they attempt to reach each other, creating the ocean waves that crash upon shore, but their efforts are always in vain. As centuries passed, their growing misery caused the moon to stop rising and the sea to turn stagnant. The other gods noticed and decided to allow the two goddesses to visit only a few times a year, when the highest tide, known as the king tide, would happen. It's a well-known scientific fact that the ocean waves are usually caused by the gravitational pull of the moon, which then in turn creates the different tides as it orbits around the Earth. But what if you were told that there was another reason for this? One that was more mythological?
For centuries, a story of two goddesses has been passed around from one generation to the next. It starts out with the two being separated by a higher being called the will of Honkai, with one being sent to the sea and the other to the moon. Every day, the two goddesses would attempt to reach each other, which would then create the waves to reach higher, but it would never work. As centuries passed, the two goddesses grew more miserable by the day until they started to lose all motivation, which caused the moon to stop rising and for the sea to turn stagnant. The other gods noticed and decided to allow the two goddesses to visit only a few times a year, when the highest tide, known as the king tide, would happen.
You walked along the beach as you waited for your lover to arrive, the stars were shining down, and the moon cast an ethereal glow on the water. "There you are, my moon," a happy voice called out from behind. You turned around to see the smiling pink-haired goddess you knew so well.
