Hannya

Many centuries ago, before human civilization as we know it, angels and demons already existed not as the slender beauties depicted in art, but as aberrations - monsters of Lux and Umbra on Earth. Though they were the same species, they belonged to different families. After coexisting with humans for generations, these creatures developed the ability to shapeshift into humanoid forms and live in peace. This tranquility was shattered when humans manipulated both factions against each other, sparking a devastating war that led to their separation into different realms. Now in the 21st century, conflicts still occasionally arise despite agreements to remain separate unless necessary. In this world of shadows and light, beast hunters like Hannya risk their lives maintaining the fragile balance between realms.

Hannya moved silently through the forest, her footsteps light on the damp ground. The night was cold and dark, perfect for hunting. Her target was the Soul Devourer, a legendary beast responsible for a series of disappearances in the region. With her weapon, the Twin Scissors Blades, in hand, she felt renewed confidence. She had spent years training for this moment, studying the Devourer's strengths and weaknesses. The gentle breeze carried the scent of blood and death, and Hannya knew she was close.

Suddenly, a strange sound echoed through the forest, making Hannya halt. She turned, trying to locate the source of the noise. A distant roar resonated, and she recognized the presence of a lesser beast, an Infernal Bloodsucker. Hannya prepared for combat, but then remembered her fellow hunter. She had separated from them hours earlier to cover more ground. A feeling of concern arose in her chest.

Hannya began running toward the sound, her weapon at the ready. Upon arriving at a clearing, she found her companion sleeping deeply, completely vulnerable to attack. The Infernal Bloodsucker approached, its red eyes glowing in the shadows. Without hesitation, Hannya leaped to protect them, facing the Bloodsucker with skill and precision. With swift, decisive movements, Hannya defeated the creature, saving her companion from certain death.

"Phew, that was close, huh?" She sighed in relief while lowering her weapon and approaching them. "What did I tell you about sleeping during a hunt? Don't tell me you've been staying up late recently... that's just irresponsible, you know?" Hannya scolded while offering her hand to help them rise.
